Do SARMs live up to the hype?

SARMs are being investigated as a possible means of increasing muscle mass. The use of performance-enhancing pharmaceuticals is a contentious issue (just ask Lance Armstrong). They are seen as unethical by a large number of individuals, and the most notorious kind may be quite harmful; one example of this would be steroids.

During the course of the past decade, a fascinating new category of performance-enhancing drugs has emerged. SARMs are short for selective androgen receptor modulators, and they refer to this group of chemicals (SARMs). The first findings of the few study done on SARMs are encouraging. They appear to develop muscle and burn fat at a level equivalent to that of steroids, but without the consequences of steroids, which include ball shrinkage, liver damage, and ugly body hair growth. They have the ability to affect your hormones in a manner that is highly specific, and they have the potential to help you fast gain muscle and lose fat.

Is there any truth to the SARMs hype?

Find out more about the advantages and disadvantages of using them.

However, the majority of SARMs research has been conducted on rats, and there haven't been any long-term studies conducted on humans to investigate the safety of SARMs. There is a possibility that there will be unanticipated adverse consequences. It's not a good idea to mess with your hormones. SARMs, on the other hand, are intriguing substances that ought to be discussed. This much is certain.

A strong argument can be made that SARMs belong in the area of experimental biohacking. These are more dangerous than the majority of the hacks that I discuss. This article discusses the benefits and drawbacks of SARMs in equal measure. I really hope this information assists you in making an educated choice about whether or not to give them a go.

SARMs are included on the list of prohibited drugs for use in sports competition that is maintained by the World Anti-Doping Agency. You shouldn't take them if you're an athlete who competes on a regular basis. SARMs are an option to take into consideration, however, if you are someone who engages in self-experimentation for the sake of improving their physical performance. Buy YK11 America Capsules, Liquids and Powders

How SARMs operate (and why they may be better than steroids).

Trying to improve your hormone levels by using steroids is like adjusting a microchip with a sledgehammer. It just won't work. Steroids cause testosterone levels to rise, which in turn stimulates the production of more protein in the body's cells, resulting in increased muscular mass and a reduction in body fat. This aspect of steroids, which is known as the anabolic side, is quite beneficial.

However, anabolic steroids also have an effect on your liver, prostate, and heart, as well as your sexual organs (causing a reduction in ball size in males and an increase in clitoral size in women), and your secondary sexual characteristics (voice depth, body hair growth, man boobs, acne, etc.). The androgenic component of steroids is responsible for all of these adverse consequences.

The problem with steroids is that they have a ratio of one anabolic effect to one androgenic effect for every one anabolic effect. That means they are just as likely to, say, shrink your balls or enlarge your clitoris as they are to build muscle – that is, unless you are taking bioidentical testosterone to maintain optimal hormone levels, under the careful supervision of a doctor (I've been doing this for years and I've never experienced any side effects.) This means that they are just as likely to make your clitoris larger as they are to make your balls smaller. You may learn more about manipulating testosterone levels by reading here).

In this respect, SARMs are innovative. They include anabolic-to-androgenic ratios that begin at 3:1 and go as high as 90:1, which is a significant improvement over steroids in terms of their selectivity. SARMs will not cause you to develop man boobs or give you a beard like a bearded lady, but you will still be able to increase your muscle mass and reduce your body fat. Oral administration of SARMs is another option. There is no requirement for injections.

Furthermore, SARMs can be purchased legally so long as they are used "solely for research reasons." You'll find that vendors of SARMs add cautions like "not for human consumption" and "for lab research purposes only" in their product descriptions. They take these precautions in the event that the laws in their jurisdiction change, so avoiding potential legal issues with the state.

There are around a dozen SARMs that are now undergoing either clinical testing (on humans) or pre-clinical testing (on animals). This article will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the most common ones. To reiterate, this is quite a little more out there than the most of the biohacking that I explain. Keeping all of this in mind, the first SARM on the list is MK-2866, so let's speak about it.

MK-2866 is a fat burner that also increases muscle.

One of the SARMs with the most research behind it is MK-2866, commonly known as ostarine. It has been tested on humans in a number of different published studies. The findings of those research were also rather compelling. Ostarine does not have any significant adverse effects, however it is quite efficient in promoting muscle growth.

Without making any adjustments to their diet or level of physical activity, elderly men and women who took low doses of ostarine for a period of 12 weeks saw a gain of 3 pounds of muscle and a loss of 1 pound of fat [1]. Patients suffering from cancer saw almost exactly the same effects over almost the same amount of time [2]. In any of the studies, there were no adverse effects.

The participants in these trials who took ostarine did not engage in any physical activity; yet, they did gain an average of one pound of muscle every month as a result of their use of the supplement. In principle, their combination would result in an increase in overall power. Pretty amazing.

MK-2866's adverse effects on the body.

According to the research, there were no adverse consequences. According to anecdotal evidence, however, some individuals who take large dosages of ostarine for 8–12 weeks have a temporary decrease in testosterone levels. Within a few weeks of stopping the injections, the patient's testosterone levels returned to normal. There is still a possibility of short-term T suppression, as well as maybe other adverse effects that researchers are not yet aware of, despite the fact that the dosage I explain below is for a shorter length of time and for a much lower amount of time.

How much MK-2866 should be taken.

Due to the fact that SARMs are still relatively novel, formal dosage guidelines have not yet been developed. All of the dosages that are suggested in this piece are moderate and are derived from what research and personal experience have shown to be effective.

Online groups have reported success with ostarine while taking 15-20 milligrammes each day for a period of four weeks. It makes no difference what time of day it is. Before beginning another cycle, it is a good idea to give yourself a break of at least four weeks so that your body can rebalance itself. Ostarine, like with the other SARMs on this list, appears to work best when combined with consistent activity, such as weight lifting and high intensity interval training.

LGD-4033

One of the SARMs that has received the most research is LGD-4033, which is also known as Ligandrol or Anabolicum. It has been subjected to a number of human studies, with some intriguing findings:

After taking LGD-4033 for 21 days, healthy males saw a discernible rise in their percentage of lean body mass. The only adverse impact was a temporary decrease in testosterone levels (we will discuss this further in a moment) [3]. It just only one milligramme taken once per day to see substantial gains in muscle mass. The subjects put on greater muscle mass whenever the dosage was increased.

In yet another study, subjects were given dosages as high as 22 mg per day without experiencing any adverse effects or problems with their safety [3].

In rats, administration of LGD-4033 results in increased bone density, increased muscular mass, and an increased desire to engage in sexual activity [3].

Because LGD-4033 does not appear to encourage fat loss, taking it on its own will not make you thinner; instead, it will make your muscles stronger.

LGD-4033's adverse effects on the body.

The effects of LGD-4033 appear to have a brief half-life; nonetheless, there is a possibility that it will inhibit your body's normal synthesis of testosterone while you are taking it [3]. The subjects in the study had T suppression at varying degrees depending on the dose, but none of them fell outside of the normal range for testosterone, and their levels restored to normal after three weeks of discontinuing LGD-4033 treatment.

Having said that, if your testosterone level is low, you might want to avoid using this supplement (and SARMs in general). Instead, you should think about biohacking your testosterone levels.

How much LGD-4033 should be taken.

Users have reported success after taking a single daily dose of 2-5 mg of LGD-4033 for a period of 4 weeks. It would appear that increasing the dosage causes you to gain more muscle while simultaneously lowering your testosterone levels. Some people take as much as 15 mg per day for considerably longer periods of time, although this poses a greater health risk. It is not in your best interest for your natural T production to completely stop. After the end of your first cycle, you should wait at least a month before beginning another cycle.
